The Process

Step 1: CONTACT ME!

PORTRAITS: Start by contacting me via the online inquiry form here to get the process started.

WEDDINGS: Double check your date by contacting me via the wedding inquiry form.

♥ STEP 2: INITIAL CONSULTATION AKA “THE VISION SESSION”

PORTRAITS: Every session begins with an initial consultation so we can get to know one another better. I welcome you to come to my home studio and enjoy a treat with me. I take this time to learn more about you and your family, your goals for the portrait session, and ideas for decorating your home. I also encourage you to use this time for questions you may have about me and my approach and any ideas you may have. I love to show you our beautiful print products in-person to give you a feel for the final outcome of your session.

WEDDINGS: Once we have confirmed that your date is available on my calendar, I invite you over for a meet and greet! We’ll share tasty treats and go over your love story. I’m a sucker for romance so expect me to ask all about how you met and how the proposal went down! This is the time we will go over your dream wedding, your ideal wedding photography scenario and what your expectations are. You’ll have the chance to look through our beautiful wedding albums and see our other print products.

♥ STEP 3: RESERVING THE DATE

PORTRAITS: Once you’ve decided on the perfect session and portrait collection for your family, we’ll work together to find the best day and time for your very own custom photo session! In order to reserve your spot, a non-refundable retainer of $75 along with the signed agreement are required.

WEDDINGS: In order to reserve your day on my calendar, a non-refundable retainer of $800 along with the signed contract are required.
*Deposits can be made by cash or check. Credit cards are accepted with a 3% service fee.

♥ STEP 4: PHOTO SESSION

PORTRAITS: On the day of your session, we’ll meet at the agreed location and time and start by hanging out and getting comfortable. A portrait session can take anywhere from 1-2 hours. There’s really no rush – or general time limit – just what feels natural. It usually takes about 15 minutes or so for us to “warm up” together and get you feeling relaxed in front of the lens. I will make suggestions along the way but my main goal is to capture the moments as they unfold, capturing your essence. This is the fun part!

WEDDINGS: It’s your big day! Time for all that hard work and planning to finally come to fruition! It’s time for you to relax and enjoy your day. Let me do all the hard work capturing your biggest moments.

♥ STEP 5: IN PERSON VIEWING AND ORDERING

PORTRAITS: The photos have been taken, individually retouched with great love and care, and now it’s time for you to see the end result of all our hard work and planning! One of best parts of the entire experience is getting to see the beautiful images come to life on screen and in print! We meet back at my place and go through each image individually. At this point in time, you’ll have the opportunity to choose the photographs you would like to have as prints, albums, canvas, or a variety of the other handcrafted photo products we offer. I’ll make recommendations for prints and products that I think would enhance your living space or make great gifts for the special folks in your life. This is your time to get excited as you envision your beautiful, heirloom prints displayed in your home!

WEDDINGS: Hooray! You’re married now! After I carefully curate your images, I will create your wedding highlight via a blog post. Once final edits are complete, you will receive your files via a beautiful, user friendly online gallery. If your wedding collection comes with products, we will also meet to go over the print products you would like to order.
