Rustic wedding

Rustic wedding

Breanna first met Brandon her freshman year of bible college. It was welcome week and a group of people were playing Mafia. She vaguely remembers the guy that played with them… she dismissed him thinking he was just another teacher.

Brandon first saw Breanna in the cafeteria of the school and the attraction was instant. He was most impressed with the fact that she had car keys… Car keys = responsibility! Definite plus in the potential girlfriend department. 😉

There was only one small problem. Brandon was so shy, that Breanna barely noticed him at the social events that they both frequented. Despite their mutual friends best efforts at lining them up, they continued to elude each other.

Finally, one last attempt proved worthy. Their group was going out for chinese food after a church service. Breanna arrived fashionably late to find that the only open seat was next to Brandon Wilson. The one that was so quiet, he was almost invisible.

And then Brandon did something that completely changed the course of their future.

He told a joke that made Breanna laugh so hard, that she never forgot it. This one small event lead to many more dates…

After three years of dating, Breanna left for the summer to go on a music tour with the school. After spending the entire summer apart and dating long distance, he wanted to do something special to welcome her back.

(By the way… if you’re the romantic, sensitive type, like me, now would be the time to grab your tissues…) 😉

Brandon and Breanna had plans to celebrate her homecoming with a special date. He asked her to meet him at his apartment before heading out for the night. When she arrived, he told her to go inside and “press play”. Confused, she entered his apartment and found rose petals strewn all over the floor and a screen in the middle of the room.

She walked over to the screen and pressed play.

Brandon had secretly filmed a video of himself requesting her parents permission for her hand in marriage. He then recapped their three year long relationship and finished the video off with a request for her to go outside.

Back outside, she found herself surrounded by twinkling white lights and the man of her dreams waiting for her answer. After many tears of joy and kind words, the answer was YES and the celebrating and planning began!

I first met Breanna many years ago at Truth Tabernacle while she was still a young girl. I had the privilege of capturing her senior photos not long after.

When she asked me to capture her wedding, I was ecstatic! Breanna is one of a kind. She brings originality and creative design into her projects and I knew her wedding would be special.  Her wedding details are to die for!

I met Brandon during spring break and I was very impressed with this sweet man that cared so deeply for his bride to be!

Here are a few favorites that highlight their beautiful day… pay attention to those details! 😀

Enjoy!
